Hi I wanted to basically find out while waiting for the 13 week assessment period Is this not counted forany payment,I was under the impression you would get bsckdated payment if found to be Lcwra0

When claiming UC it's not 13 weeks. It's 3 full assessment periods and it's then paid from the 4th month after you first reported your health condition. Provided you sent a fit note within 7 days of this and you continued to send them without any gaps until a decision was made on your WCA.

Thank you for that both of you it’s actually so confusing I only realizing you only get a payment in the assessment month after 3 assessment month this is awful this wasn’t the case when people became sick and couldn’t work if they had to claim incapacity benefit. This needs to be reformed back to the wayit was omg so annoyed thanks agsin0

The waiting period ( know as assessment period) applied to ESA too, which was 13 weeks and the extra money was paid from week 14.The wait is the law and is highly unlikely to be changed.0
