Hi everyone I’m just after some advice
I first joined UC in July and my payment dates are the 30th of each month roughly - From July I’ve handed in FIT NOTES every 3 months as they lasted for 3 months each time.

In October 2021 I filled out my working capability assessment questionnaire and due to a back log and covid (the job centre told me) I didn’t get my phone assessment till 7th June 2022- after this I was told a few days later I qualify work limited capability and work related activities. They said I have this for 12 months and also been awarded this for the last 11 months on UV-
My first payment in June was made with the new amount added on but I’m wondering if I’m entitled to any back pay ? I’ve tried for a month now to contact them but I get no reply I’ve called and left lots of messages on my journal all which get ignored too. I understand there is a 3 month wait so would this have been July august and September so I am owed money from Oct-may?

You will be due arrears from the fourth payment you received (presumably November) but this will be paid separately.
UC have to recalculate all of your previous statements and then compare it with what they paid you to arrive at the amount owed so can take a while.
The new statements will overwrite the old ones so you may wish to take copies of them now in case you need to refer back to them.

Hi, i filled in my uc50 in oct 2019 and handed in my first fit note nov 2019. I waited 6 months for a medical assessment and rang them numerous times to say when will i be assessed, they basically told me there is a back log due to covid so i waited another 6 months so rang again to see how long it will take for a assessment and with my disbelief they said they have not recieved my uc50 🤔 my support worker filled in my forms together with me and i posted them.
So in February 2021 i had to fill out another uc 50 and i have just recently been awarded the lcwra on june 2022.
I have nearly 2 years of back pay due as my fit notes in my uc journal start in nov 2019 and the uc50 was submitted in oct 2019. Uc have offered me a back payment for 5 months? Surely thats not right, it cant be..
Any advice please as to when my back pay should really start, is it from the first uc50 i sent in 2019 or the second one in feb 2021. Thankyou0 -
I was in the same situation I should have had over 11 months back pay but I got 5 and now no one replies to me so I’ve just left this there once they have made a decision they just tend to ignore you0

Not sure where you got 11 months of backpay from. Based on the information you provided then the LCWRA element would be paid from either Nov/Dec 2021. The exact dates it's paid from will depend on what date exacty you reported your health condition.
