Hi and no i was not found fit for work back in 2019. I applied for pip and got the high rate soon as i got ill, i applied for uc two months later as i was advised i was entitled both benefits, i had no knowledge of this entitlement. My uc journal is my evidence and im not sure why they are making it so complicated. I was definitely unfit for work when i applied for uc. Thanks

I am assuming they are taking from 2nd form, he might have to appeal this to tribunal, as he has clear evidence, but then it depending on jobsworth assertion of when request made, he has a valid claim for 2 years, doubt UC would accept 2 yrs fit note without an investigation, especially if they have it on file original form was requested in 2019.

But folks need to photocopy these forms and I recommend getting a proof of delivery as well least if it goes missing their end you still have a copy of what was sent

Hi, my support worker recieved a email from the dwp back in 2021 stating they are aware of my first claim and will backdate from 2019, my support worker has emailed them to address we have a issue regarding back payment, i am still waiting for a reply, its been 10 days since my support worker emailed them. Thankyou

That is the first time you have mentioned an email to the support worker in 2021, It isn’t possible to advise you if you drip feed information. As you still have a support worker helping you then it is best to let them deal with it. Waiting 10 days for a reply isn't long..

No, it's not paid at all during the waiting period, which is 3 full assessment periods. It's then paid from the 4th month.

What outcome did you have on the MR?

I find myself in a similar position where UC state they will only pay 53 weeks instead of 144 weeks after a 3 year wait for a WCA. UC stay I havent "declared" fit notes for 3 x 3 month periods which are noted in my journal but I wasn't sent a task to add the dates and sent them to the JC - all in my journal history.

I have a joint new style ESA and UC claim for housing costs and have been awarded 144 weeks arrears by ESA as put in the support group. I can't seem to get them to talk to one another about the duplication of arrears payments or for the Case Manager to call me as I think a conversation will easily resolve as they need to explain why I wasn't sent a report a fit note task during July 2020 and April 2021 before it became more automated function.
