Awarded pip

Hi all I'm quite shocked I have been awarded pip! I didn't think I would get anything as I heard it is quite difficult to get . My wca decision came back and was awarded lcw. I received a txt on Fri 8th July saying I have been awarded pip and will receive award letter within 2 weeks. I sent pip form in April will this mean I will have back payments from April? And when does money arrive in bank account after award letter or before? And now I'm receiving pip does it affect my UC? And will my housing benefit and council tax benefit be reduced?

If it's a first time claim and you didn't transfer from DLA then money owed will be in your bank because the decision letter is received. Usually it takes 3-5 working days from the date it's paid. You will no longer be affected the benefit cap, if you were affected by this previously.I note you're claiming UC so unless you're living in supported/temporary housing then your rent will be paid through UC known as housing element, not housing benefit. I see in another thread that you're over 35 so your housing element will remain the same.If you're claiming UC with a partner and your PIP includes the daily living part then if they look after you for at least 35 hours per week then they can claim the carers element of UC.The PIP award has no bearing on your LCW award. If you disagree with that decision and think you should have qualified for LCWRA then you can challenge that decision by first requesting the MR.0
