PIP Review form return

Hi there, just hoping that someone with a similar experience could help. I am the full time carer to my Mum. I was the one who filled in the original PIP form back in 2016 and I went with her when she had to be assessed. She was awarded the standard rate for care and mobility for five years. The review form arrived last month on the 23rd of June, it had taken a whole week to get to us, and the form was due by the 16th of July, so that was already lost time. I got badly overwhelmed but did the best that I could. What worries me is that I cut it very tightly in returning the form. I sent it Special Delivery on the 13th of July and it arrived the next day on the 14th of July. How long does it take to get an SMS notice that they got the form? I'm also concerned that because it can take up to a week or more for the form and documents to be scanned this might be considered a late return of the form. I'm very stressed and it's really hard to get through on the phone. Any support or advice would be a great relief.

It takes a while for the form to be scanned and uploaded on the system. DWP don't know it's arrived until it's on the system. Nothing you can do now (unless you want to ring them and ask them to note taht the form has been returned).

For anybody else reading this, note that if you phone DWP when you get the forms they will give you an extra couple of weeks within which to return it.

Thank you for the response! I got lucky and was able to get through to the PIP phone line this morning and the form arrived and has been scanned, so I am full of relief. Until the next stage of course.
