Hi, I've tried on numerous occasions to get threw to your number, and I've just been left waiting. Is there another way to get a copy of my exemption certificate? I recently had to change my car, and needed to tax the new one. Because I couldn't get threw I decided to pay for my car tax, can I claim it back somehow?

This is a Scope forum - it has nothing to do with DWP and no one here can help obtain a CoE for you. You need to ring PIP on 0800 121 4433. Try ringing early in the day.0

Hi @anniehunnie
Welcome to the community! Thank you for joining us.
As calcotti has said, we're Scope (a disability equality charity), not the DWP.
Do you mind me asking what number it was that you'd been trying to call? Was it the DVLA number you commented about on the other thread, or a different one?
I hope that using the number calcotti has provided works better. It can take a while to get through, unfortunately. I appreciate it can feel frustrating, but try and stick with it!
In terms of getting a refund, you may find this gov.uk page helpful to read. Perhaps you could take a look, and let us know if there's anything you're still unsure about?0
