Those texts are standard texts sent to everyone and don't mean anything other than what they say. They are just giving updates to save people ringing them to ask. Timescales for decisions are between 2-12 weeks, sometimes longer.

Welcome to the community @niamhh4567
Thank you for joining, and for telling us about your current situation.
I hope that poppy123456's comment has helped to put your mind at ease a little. If you take a browse through our PIP category, you'll be able to see that many people have also received the same kinds of texts.
How do you feel your assessment went?
I hope that you're not waiting too long for the decision! Please do keep us updated.1 -
@Tori_Scope Hi yes i dont know how it went to be honest i answered the questions to the best of my ability and did get abit upset when explaining the strain ive had due to the illness i have and i do find it hard to explain how it effects me and difficulty to explain my struggles without getting my self worked up and confused then i always second guess what im saying etc just hating the waiting ro know the decision its making me feel anxious every day waiting on the post etc and not having anything and then overthinking is it taking this amount of time because they have rejected the application or something ive done wasnt done right0

Hello @niamhh4567 it's positive to hear that you got through the assessment, well done
I think it's very common to feel a bit distressed when we talk about how our conditions impact us day to day. It's a difficult thing to do, and so the wait for the decision can feel very frustrating.
If you can, one of the most helpful things you can do is focus on things you enjoy and which help you relax for now. There's a lot of backlogs at the DWP at the moment, so processing your assessment might take longer than expected.
How was your weekend? You'd be welcome to spend time on the forum if it helps take your mind off things.
The coffee lounge is a good place to start, you can chat to other members and play games. If you'd like to see all the different topics for discussion just visit our categories page, or recent discussions to look at the latest conversations.
We'll be here to support you whatever the outcome, so let us know how things go, and reach out whenever you need to.
