Hello and welcome @anttrfc1 and welcome, thanks for reaching out with your query :)

Congratulations on your PIP and SDP awards, how are you feeling about that?

I would say based on PIP waiting times, that it would be anywhere between 2-12 weeks, but I can't be certain.

Potentially 8 weeks for the SDP award, if entitled. I'm assuming it was a form to fill in and return? rather than saying you're definitely entitled to it.
To be entitled to this you must live alone or classed as living alone. No other adults unless they either claiming a qualifying disability benefit or are registered blind.
If entitled it's back dated to the date you became entitled to it.

If you were entitled to it at that time then yes.

It’s not actually a new benefit, it’s an additional amount included in the calculation of your existing benefit.

The disability premiums are only payable with certain means tested benefits. They are not benefits payable on their own. Which other benefits are you claiming exactly? and are you living alone or with other adults?

There's no disability premiums payable with UC.

I read on a website that you qualify if you get PIP and housing benefit. Is that incorrect?

The SDP in housing benefit is included in the calculation of your personal allowance. If housing benefit is already covering all your rent then you're claiming your maximum entitlement. You can't receive more than your actual rent.
