if I get a car with motability

if I get a car with motability, then die ... would that leave my wife in a pickle?

    If it’s your PIP award then the car will need to be returned because your claim will end on death. No money will be owed to motability and the lease will just end.
    If you paid an advance payment when you collected that car then whatever is left from that will be refunded.
