Hi I currently receive pip and UC (LCWRA), i have received both for 2 years.
I live with my partner and we will be getting married soon.
my partner has recently accepted a job that will take us off UC which is amazing.
my question is:
how do I pay/receive national insurance contributions for my pension if I cannot work?

Have you done a benefits check? Are you sure that you will not have any UC? Your maximum amount would be the couple allowance, plus LCWRA and partner can get the carer element for looking after you plus the housing element if you are renting. Because you have LCWRA a Work Allowance will be applied which means some of your partner’s earnings will be ignored and the 55% deduction calculated only on the remaining earnings. The Work Allowance is £573 if you don’t have the housing element, £344 if you do.
If you will be off UC you should apply for new style ESA. Although you will not be paid anything you will get NI credits on the grounds of having Limited Capability for Work.0
