Good afternoon all
I wanted to share my experience of claiming pip.
I claimed last year and was turned down. However my condition got worse I have servere anxiety disorder, panic disorder emetophobia.
I re applied may 2022 I had my over the phone assesment Aug 22 my husband completed my form and I sent screenshot of all my medical notes from my nhs app with my form. My husband was with me for the phone assesment I had to hand over to him on a few occasions. As I got so stressed over it all.
I got a text on Monday saying no decision had been made and today I got a text to say I had been awarded I called and from payment I have only got basic daily living no mobility. I don't really agree because I don't leave my house however I won't be challenging it because i am just happy I have recognition of my mental illness.
I didn't request the report as this would not be a great idea for me because I over think everything.
The process wasn't as bad this time around the assesment went really well I got to get my point across about the help I needed and to be honest i think they got it right I don't need 24/7 care but I do struggle with daily tasks due to anxiety.
So please don't be put off applying I told the truth and got it. I didn't get anything special from my Dr's just used me medical notes from all the visits. I am really happy with my outcome and pleased it's over.
