Why is Motability advance payment more expensive on automatic license?

Why is it that if it’s a only automatic license you have we drivers get hit with a more expensive advance payment on motability cars so so unfair

It’s because an automatic is more expensive to buy and it’s always been this way, not just for motability.
You can apply for a grant through motability to help with the advance payment. Whether you will be successful will depend on what vehicle and spec you choose.
