DWP have the same chance we do to appeal the decision but they can't just appeal because they disagree with the decision. They must first request the Statement of Reasons and Record of Proceedings within 1 month of the date of the decision. There's no timescales how long it will take for the Judge to write these but once they are sent, the DWP have 1 month to find the error in law and appeal the decision. They sometimes request the SOR and ROP but rarely appeal it. If they request them it does delay paying you what you're owed and putting your award into payment because this won't happen while they wait for them to be sent.1

hi i have spoken to dwp properly today and they have said it is because the judge didnt give a very detailed reason of why i was given the points, should this be sorted much easier?0

I've never heard of this happening before. As i advised they can't just appeal the decision because they disagree. If they request the SOR and ROP then it can delay the process going forward. All you can do now is wait.
