Hi there,

So I've been reading a lot of posts about how everyone has been getting there pip backdated after tribunal and the MR

I applied in August last year and also scored 0 on everything on the report letter but was told to ignore this and to complete the MR

Due to health reasons (don't wanna go to much into it as its a spiel and a half) was unable to do this myself, I was referred to a support services service who got welfare rights to do my MR and I sent all my medical evidence and letters from gp stating I'm physically unable to work or function without someone with me at all times and to do simple daily activities, this was at the start of August this year

I received a text a couple days after this from pip saying that your appeal has been lodged and pip have to reply by 12th September, I called them this morning asking about this as I haven't heard or received any letter/backdated payment, they have now said the date is the 15th and I'm wondering what actually do I do now as my doctor and consultant have stated clearly that I'm incapable of doing anything atm and will i receive backdated payment too?

You haven’t received any money because you haven’t had your Tribunal hearing yet and no decision has been made. Appeal being lodged means they received and accepted it.
Now DWP have to respond to that but very often they don’t respond by the deadline. All you can do is wait.
You also mentioned that you’ve sent a letter from your GP saying you are unable to work at the moment. PIP isn’t about your ability to work, people claim PIP and work.
A letter from a GP or consultant saying you are unable to do anything at the moment isn’t the best evidence to send. What you need to do is tell them where and why you think you should have scored those points.
Include a couple of real world examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you. Adding information such as where you where, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.
If you’re having help from Welfare Rights then they should be sorting all this out for you.

Sorry I should have stated my letters and all my evidence that has been provided does state my inability don't just only to work but to do daily tasks I.e. walking to the toilet, showering, making food all of the normal things people would do, I would need assistance with and currently receiving from my partner hence my reason for applying initially as my consultant advised me since my first seizure

I have a video of my seizures and numerous incidents that have been reported on the letters and hospital discharges from each event, so I'm hoping that come the 15th I will have received my backdated payment

Based on what you have posted you haven’t had the appeal yet. Therefore there hasn’t mean a decision yet and therefore there isn’t anything to pay. DWP are often late responding to the tribunal. If they fail to respond the tribunal can still proceed but that doesn’t mean they will do so immediately after the response date has passed.

In due course there will be a tribunal decision and whether or not you are owed money will depend on the tribunal decision.
