Hi I'm on income based esa and standard rate of pip, long term health issues of anxiety and depression and PTSD and polycystic kidney and liver disease on top of few different other complications.... Trying to find out if my partner will be entitled to get carers allowance for looking after me

If your partner provides 35 hours of care for you and provided they do not earn more than £132/week from work they would be eligible.

If they were to claim CA  then your income based ESA would have a carer premium added (£38.85/week) but the CA received by your partner would be deducted from your ESA. Your joint gain would be the £38.85/week.

Does your partner have any income/benefits of their own at the moment. I ask in case there are any other considerations to take into account.

Hello @anfieldfan89 and welcome to the community. Further to @calcotti's advice, could I just check whether you and your partner are currently living together?
