I had my telephone assessment on the 1st September I called on the 8th for the report and they hadn't received it but the assessment providers sent it on the 6th September they then sent a second copy on the 13th but pip are saying it can take 4 weeks for them to receive it, is this true I am just wanting a copy of the report to prepare incase I need to do a MR.

It is sent to DWP digitally. Requesting a copy of the report isn't always a good idea because it often causes more anxiety than you may already be experiencing. The report isn't need for the MR request anyway, if you have to go down this route.

Hi Poppy so does it actually take 4 weeks for them to get it I just feel they are fobbing me off.0

No, digitally means it’s not posted so when it’s sent they receive it straight away. Are you 100% sure they assessment providers have sent it? Sometimes a report is chosen for audit, which can delay them returning it to DWP. If this had happened it’s nothing to worry about it’s just them checking the assessor did their job correctly.0

They have sent it twice I have spoke to them its Pip that's saying it takes 4 weeks, I spoke to the assessment providers on Friday and they said pip should have it by now.0

So is there anything I can do I realise it can take 4 weeks or more for a decision but to receive the report is crazy.0

Pip told me when they get the report it goes in a pile and can take 4 weeks to be scanned0

Once the report is received a decision can take 2-12 weeks.mburns said:Pip told me when they get the report it goes in a pile and can take 4 weeks to be scannedI've never heard of that before. Please be aware that when you ring PIP you are talking to someone from a call centre, not someone from DWP/PIP itself.Someone is clearly not telling you the truth here. In the meantime, until DWP have the report there's nothing more you can do because a copy can't be sent out to you until it's received.0

Thanks I understand that and I have spoke to case manager and they are saying the same don't know what's going on, so of they don't have the report in 4 weeks will need to wait again.0

As i advised the report maybe in an audit, although the assessors are telling you it was returned, this may not be correct.I've had a report be sent to audit and remain there for 6 weeks and this was for PIP.0

OK no problem can only wait thanks again0

Good luck with the wait @mburns. How are you feeling about things at the moment?
Please feel free to let us know how it goes. We are all here for you and listening to you0 -
Hi I spoke to pip on Tuesday and they let me speak to a case manager and they said it shouldn't take 4 weeks for the report to go on the system so he contacted them I have to contact them on Wednesday to see if they got it, but I got a letter on Saturday to say they have everything they need to make a decision.0
