Hi,
I just got awarded LCWRA which I'm hugely relieved and thankful about.
I got a letter saying they owe me money but I feel the dates are wrong. I handed my first fit note in from 14/04/22, They say they owe me extra money from 11th August to 10th September but I feel 3 months from my first fit note should include the month July to August as well?

The waiting period is 3 full assessment periods and then it’s paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition. If you reported your health condition on the same date you sent your first fit note then your waiting period will be May/June, June/July, July/August… LCWRA starts from assessment period August 11th to 10th September and first payment would be 17th September. This means their calculation is correct. This is because they date you sent your fit note was in the middle of your assessment period and it has to be 3 full ones.0
