You can refer him for a needs assessment. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/social-care-and-support-guide/help-from-social-services-and-charities/getting-a-needs-assessment/

Hello @ljjames1982 and welcome to the community, thanks for reaching out with your query

How are you all feeling about the diagnosis as a family? Do you mind if I ask how old your son is?
You might like to visit our autism and neurodiversity category as well as our education category here on the forum. You're more than welcome to share your thoughts, and connect with other parents of children with ADHD.
For support with education, legal guides and lots of other helpful resources, I can recommend IPSEA.
You might find Scope's advice on coming to terms with your child's diagnosis helpful as well.
If you've got anything specific you'd like help with let us know, and in the meantime, enjoy having a look around.
