Pip cost of living payment still not received.

I have just emailed Chloe Smith thought I would show you a copy of the email:Dear Chloe SmithPlease be advised that it is now past the middle of October and as of yet there are still millions awaiting their PIP cost of living payment of £150. I am included in these figures. I dutifully filled in a form online on the 3rd of October, I did receive a response in the form of a letter which quite frankly was useless in itself, I have attached the letter for yourself to see, as it did not specify a date on which the said sum would be paid. The DWP could have saved the paper and just sent a text to my phone.I rang the PIP office yesterday to see if I could find out when this amount would be paid, however, I was told that the only way to find out was for the advisor to email them as they only have an internal contact email and the reply is a standard reply of 'we will get to it when we get to it'.On the letter it states that it will be paid in due course, bearing in mind you are dealing with people with disabilities and or mental health, as quite often the two of them go hand in hand and not having a date so that you can budget what it is going to be used for just adds to the stress and anxiety of the situation. You only need to look at many of the disability forums to see how angry and upset people are by the lack of communication and clarity from yourself as the Secretary of State for the DWP or the department itself. When people with disabilities and mental health have no idea of specific dates or clarity if there are problems this just adds to their mind set.On page two of the letter you are committed to treating people fairly under the Equality Act, as this payment has been ongoing since the 20th of September, and I know we had a bank holiday on the 19th of September, however the department had 10 days notice in which to work around this, not only this please remember that computers are only as good as the person sat behind them and likewise computer software is only as good as the person who designed this, I feel that myself and many other disabled people have not been treated fairly, some disabled people did not even realise they needed to fill a form in if their payment was missing. Please be advised that I do know I am supposed to contact my own MP first but in this case it is more efficient for me to contact yourself directly as you are the Secretary of State for the DWP.Kind Regards[Removed by moderator- full name]0

That's quite alright @Melj and thanks for sharing your letter, I hope your payment will come through next week0

all in all they have issued theses payments,, realised the actual amount they sent out. and now seem to be in a position they cant afford it,, hence letters being sent out with no date so you cannot determine date letter was sent to the current date and a awful response IN DUE COURSE ,, never have they ever said that,, the buggers are buying for time coz they messed up,,, fortunately im receiving m proper PIP this week,, the COL payment hasnt helped me through a tough time,, this thing made it worse

i know this is probably true but i also realised conveniently that every single one of the local drinkers and people who sit in pub 24/7 got theirs immediately,, they do not mind paying the people tht will pay it back straight away through alcohol at the pub,, into their banks an straight back into governments pocket0

You are correct, it's simply not true. There's no way of knowing what method they use to who they pay first and who they pay last. Not only that, how would the Government know who goes to the pub or not lol.

Does everyone entitled to this money need to apply or is it just put into your bamk account?0

As far as I know @littleacorn the £150 payment should be automatic if you are entitled, but if you still haven't received it, you'll need to fill out this form to report a missing payment.
I hope that helps0 -
Thanks for that. How do I do it?0
-
If you click on the link I've shared in the post above, give the page a read and click 'start now'. You'll need your National Insurance number handy.
Does that help?0 -
I can hear you are struggling with knowing how to do it @littleacorn. Is there anything, in particular, that is causing you trouble with doing it?
Just hoping we can help you the best we can. It sounds really difficult to do but you deserve the support like anyone else0 -

Clicking on the link that Alex posted above, will take you to this here. https://secure.dwp.gov.uk/report-a-missing-cost-of-living-payment/benefit-entitlement/ Then you just fill in the details and they will contact you in due course.

Not recieved mine either. Filled in the missing payment form last week but still waiting for a response.0

I filled out the missing payment section on .Gov 13 days ago and no letter no reply , nothing... and I am entitled to the 150 payment as I started my claim on 3rd Feb this year so my claim was back dated till the 3rd Feb .... it states that once u fill out the form the gov will contact u within 14 days but I filled it out 13 days ago and Zero contact so its pretty disheartening... the gov new for months we were getting this so they had plenty time to try set up different algorithms etc to put in place for swift payment , only exceptional circumstances should be waiting not normal ones like most of us.1

Still awaiting mine as of today 16th October. Seem to be the only person in my MS group who has not received it. It cannot be alphabetical as my surname begins with H and my friend who is a W received his over two weeks ago. He is 50 and I am over 70 and on PIP as he is. There seems to be no logical pattern. I filled in the form to say I hadn't received it over a week ago.

There’s no pattern of how they pay people, it’s just random. There’s many others that also haven’t received it, you only have to looked at the many threads on here.0

i do not understand how they can pay 6.9 million ppl in a week yt cant send out 100,000 payments in a month.. is there a way i can contact them today an tell them to shove this payment where the sun dont shine,, its made me worse waiting for it with stress and frustration when i really needed it,, and i dont need it now,0
