Can someone advise me what evidence I might need to collect in the future. I have already been awarded PIPs and waiting for decision letter but all I keep reading is I need evidence. (What For !)
Thanks Peeps

As you’ve recently been awarded, did you send evidence to support this claim? If you did then keep that.
As for medical evidence, it’s not really needed, it’s only helpful if it states exactly how your conditions affect you against the descriptors.
Your real world incidents of exactly how your conditions affect you are also helpful. Lots of advice on this on many other threads, if you do a search.0 -
My Doctor's report was all that was needed I didn't even need a assesment as my COPD is advanced. But yet I am expected to look for work. I was working and I had a flair up (coughing episode) I was fired for not declaring my illness on my job application if I declare my COPD on my job applications I will never find a job. I had another flair up on Saturday night and had out of hours doctor come see me. He was shocked that my GP hasn't took my illness further. Sorry to rabbit on poppy..0

As i mentioned in your other thread, PIP has nothing to do with the work capability assessment. When claiming UC you are classed as a job seeker until a decision on your WCA says otherwise.A work coach has discretion whether to turn off or reduce commiments.0

Sorry sorry naive in this what is WCA.0
-
WCA = Work capability assessment, which will be for your UC.

I note from the advice on your other thread that you haven't yet reported a change of circumstances and reported your health condition. You should do that ASAP and then make sure you report a fit/sick note within 7 days of this. You will then be referred for a work capability assessment. If you didn't read the link i posted on that thread, here it is again, please have a read. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/universal-credit-if-you-have-a-disability-or-health-condition-quick-guide/universal-credit-if-you-have-a-disability-or-health-condition

I have a txt message from a work coach they are phoning me on Wednesday is that what the WCA is for. I have done a change of circumstances on my journal is that right.0
-
Hi PoppyI have read the link you sent me. Seeing GP today not building up any hope.on a fit note0
-
No, the work capability assessment will be completed by a company called Health Assessment Advisory Service. Before this you will be referred for the WCA and you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you that they've referred you. Shortly after you will receive the WCA form (UC50) to fill in and return. When you reported a change of circumstances did you click "health" and then report it there? Once you do this it should ask you for a fit note.0

Yes is says report fit note. Seeing doctor today I will ask him . Not building up my hopes though0

Let us know how you get on with the doctor today @MartynSinclair2, and please let us know if you need a hand with anything

Alex_Scope. Thank you for your message. I have seen the Doctor who gave me a 14 day fit note I have put this on my Journal. I have received a message and have a work coach phone call on Wednesday.0
-
@MartynSinclair2 A UC50 is sent after 4 weeks of continuous fit notes. You will also need them all the way from waiting to be assessed and then eventually a decision. Good luck on Wednesday with your work coach.0
-
Thanks for updating us all @MartynSinclair2 I'm glad it went okay, how are you feeling about Wednesday?

Referral for the WCA usually takes place on day 29 of your claim (sometimes longer), there are some conditions where a referral is made on day one. Once your work coach refers you, you will receive a letter on your journal. Shortly after that you will receive the form in the post.

Hi Poppy. Are you talking about form UC50. If so I have a copy to print out by citizen advise. Shall I fill it in now and send it of. Can you advise me what the phone call will entail on Wednesday.
Thanks0 -
Yes the UC50 is what you'll be sent. You can fill it out but i'd advise you to hold off from sending it until you're referred by your work coach. Can't advise about your appointment on Wednesday i'm afraid but it will be nothing to do with the WCA.0
-
@Alex_Scope. Thanks for your message. I feel very worried about Wednesday as I don't have a clue what to do or say. If it wasn't for the great people on here and the great advice they have given I don't know what to do. Have you any idea what Wednesday is all about.
Thanks0 -
It's likely to be a work focused interview. What it's regarding will depend on what your claimant commiments are. When claiming UC you're classed as a job seeker until a decision is made on the WCA.

Only fill in this capability for work questionnaire (UC50) if you’re asked to do so, this is not a claim form.0
