How often is initial report amended by case worker?

Hello all new here and have applied for PIP and got my initial assessment report. On the cover letter it states that the report may change as will be scrutinised by case worker. How often does it happen that the case worker changes the facts of the report? Seems very strange that someone who has not communicated with me can change the facts or am I misunderstanding it?

It’s very rare. It has been known if there’s issues with the report they will return it to the assessment providers, rather than change it, though this is also rare.
They mostly go with the report, it’s rare they go against it but it can happen.

Yes I'm keeping everything crossed and waiting patiently for a response. I absolutely hated the assessment. I heard the assessor get very frustrated with me, but can't say I blame her really, I wouldn't want to deal with me either lol. My issues are mainly mental health after a major breakdown last year. I really thought I had messed the assessment up and against better judgement asked for it to be sent but now glad that I did as it settled my mind a little bit. IF they follow the report I will get standard daily living and enhanced mobility which would literally change my life.
I wish it was as easy to speak to people as it is typing on the internet.0 -
An update, I got a text this morning saying I been awarded pip. I don't know how much but just knowing it is coming is such a huge relief!1

Thank you, and that sounds good @MissKittenMeow I hope you enjoy your trip outside later

I have 7 cats lol. None related either so I just kind of added to the collection over the years
They are a huge help for my mental health as I HAVE to get out of bed in the mornings to take care of them. Also excellent company since im at home 24/7 and dont really speak to many people these days.
Have you got cats?0 -
Wow 7 cats- I have a friend who has 6, and I don't know how she manages them all!
I'm so glad they help you with your mental health, I'm sure they love being around you, and hopefully with each other too.
I don't have any cats myself (pets aren't allowed where I live), but I did have cats growing up with parents, so I'm certainly a cat person0
