It won't affect any of your benefits. Whether your mum can claim carers allowance for looking after you will depend on her circumstances. If she works and earns more than £132/week she won't be able to claim it.Does she claim any benefits for herself? If so which ones?0

Hi
my mum gets pension from the state and a private pension
thanks0 -
Is this the other thread you wanted?
Does your mum receive any benefits at the moment? If she were to claim CA then she would need to make that claim. She can’t claim CA if she works and earns more than £132/week.
If she claims CA it doesn’t affect your benefits.0 -
As she's claiming state pension then she can claim carers allowance but not receive it, if her state pension is more than £69.70/week. She would have an underlying entitlement to it but whether she's entitled to pension credit will depend on how much her state pension and private pension is per week.

Sorr6, I hadn’t seen that mum was receiving SP when I posted earlier.0
