You will receive a letter on your journal once any backdated payments are due and once pervious statements have been updated (LCWRA is backdated to the 4th month provided you have given continuous fit notes). You should hear something shortly since 21st September is a while to wait. You could ask and leave a message under the ‘payments’ category so it goes to a DM. Have you had new commitments and any work coach appointments cancelled?0

Hi thank you if I’m honest it’s a complete mess I did a health change on 12 Feb 21 on my journal for the next 16 months various staff replied on my journal saying I did not need a fit note and also the computer would pick up if I needed one or an assessment so nothing happened
i again I kept contacting them to be told no fit note needed eventually I was asked for one which I did get on 14 June 22
My work coach has cancelled my next appointment I have sent messages on my journal for an update and I am not getting any replies0 -
When you did the health change did you actually “report a change of circumstances?” If you had done this it should have prompted you to send a fit note.0

Hi yes I did and the first reply that came back was
You do not need to report a new fit note since you are already classed as having Limited Capability for Work.

This went on for a year and a half telling me I do not need a fit note

As advised in your other thread as you reported a change in you health condition then the extra money should be from the assessment period in which you reported the changes.Put a note on your journal under the payment section and tell them the date you reported the changes.0

Hi I have sent 5 messages on my journal - no reply and rang them and she said she couldn’t help me as all she has is my letter on the journal confirming lcwra on 21 sept 22 it’s just so frustrating0

Hi yes I put it on the payment page aswell a week ago no reply still0

I have been dealing with citizens advice they said as it’s there error by several DWP staff not asking for a fit note as they all wrote in my journal I should get back pay to Feb 21 and also there is no wait period if you are in LCW and moved to LCWRA

I agree with all of that.caz1970 said:I have been dealing with citizens advice they said as it’s there error by several DWP staff not asking for a fit note as they all wrote in my journal I should get back pay to Feb 21 and also there is no wait period if you are in LCW and moved to LCWRA0 -
That’s not correct in this situation. Caz already had LCW and they reported a change in their health condition in 2021. This means that the extra money is paid from the assessment period in which the changes were reported.Oddball said:If so everyone has to wait 3 months and the 4th month you get paid. As advised by Poppy to me when I had asked a similar question.1 -
Thanks so if I reported it feb 21 n then they didn’t ask for fit note until June 22 (I sent them it on 14 June a fit note for 6 months) I then had my letter confirming LCWRA 21 Sep 22 but I haven’t heard from them since no payment date or back pay0
