I was claiming IS as lone parent and my child turned 5 so my claim ended last week I now have to claim UC I get PIP enhanced on both components and I don’t go out on my own I’ve had a text saying I need to go for an appointment at job centre about UC and it’s on a Saturday it’s very hard for me to get someone to accompany me on a weekend and tbh even with someone there I feel it’s too much is there anything I can do? Do you think I could get telephone appointment? I’m so worried about all this UC stuff it says things about work coach etc and I’m worried they might try to send me for assessment

You can ask for a telephone appointment but you are expected to attend your local Job centre.
If your health condition affects your ability to work then you will need to report your health condition and sent a fit/sick note within 7 days of that. You will then be referred for a work capability assessment.
You will be classed as a job seeker until the decision is made on your work capability assessment. It’s a work coaches discretion to turn off or reduce commitments. Some do and others don’t.
