Free Bus pass

High all,
my daughter has just been turned down for a disabled bus pass by my local council. Their reason is she doesn’t have any points in the “Moving about” section of her PIP award. She does have 12 points in the travelling alone bit and therefore got the enhanced rate. It seems mad that not being able to travel alone and therefore always requiring two tickets per journey (one for her companion) does not count.
Anybody else encountered this or found it as annoying as me?

Each local Authority have their own rules for disabled bus passes. My LA also do not give a bus pass automatically for someone that claims any disability benefit, even for those that scored points in moving around part. Though she does qualify for one because she has a learning disability.Have you checked on their website to see if she qualifies through a different way? You can check here. https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-disabled-bus-pass
