PIP "you may need an assessment but we will continue to pay you"

I know it is late in the day but I can’t sleep with worry. My pip award was meant to end on September 22nd. I sent my review info last November. I have received texts basically saying we have your info, you may need an assessment but we will continue to pay you. Is this normal?

    Hi and welcome to the community 

    Yes that's normal there are huge backlogs for reviews and they are continuing to pay while the review is being processed
