Hi, my name is sez99! My appel has gone to a tribunal. Has anyone else been in this situation?

I have narcolepsy and got turned down for pip twice , i then founf out i have emphysemza and still got turned down my appel has now gone to a tribunal which im waiting for dwp to reply, this i first started my applicatkon in jan 2021 im not very optamistic about getting pip as ive had nil points each time , has anyone else been in this situation as i was told could take up to 6 months .more to wait for a decision .

    PIP is not awarded based on having a diagnosed condition but on whether you meet the descriptors and get enough points. The fact you have been refused an award 3 separate times and also on appeal may suggest you don't meet the descriptors necessary for an award to be made. All the best with the MR although no guarantee the decision will be changed. Someone with more indepth knowledge of the MR process might hopefully respond to your post. Good luck.

    They are at Tribunal stage.

    @sez99 have you opted to either appear in person, telephone or video hearing? There's about a 70% success rate for either of those. Paper based hearings have a much lower success rate of between 5-8%.
