Hi everyone can someone please give me some advice I applied for pips but they put me on llwc and that should be entitled to £344 on top of my universal credits but now they're saying that I'm not entitled to the money aspect of the lwc I've asked him what the reasons are as to why I'm not entitled to it and they said something about because I wasn't claiming in 2017 while obviously I was claiming in 2017 so I asked him what is the reason why im not entitled to it and they couldn't give me a reason so I have asked for a reconsideration decision and what is the reasons why not entitled to the pay while you have to claim 15 points to get LC lwc I'm in the process of getting pip sorted but they haven't sent me a letter explaining why I have been put into this lwc or as to why I'm not entitled to the money aspect and they meant to be getting back to me but my point is what are the reasons as to why you are not entitled to money on lwc because there's far as I know they haven't given I mean a pass for all the criteria and I was told I am entitled to the 344 work allowance because it's been over what 6 months now why would I be put onto a something if I'm not entitled to it and I said I must have scored a good amount of points over 15 to be entitled to lwc which I never even asked to be put on put on this applying for pips but they haven't still to this they still haven't given me a legitimate reason they keep making things up as they go along I mean one lady told me that for me to apply for certain things like housing benefit I've got to have a medical assessment will even I know that's wrong. But it seems to me they are dragging their heels so they don't have to pay me my back pay or any payment per month what's the point of me being on something if I'm not entitled to the the money aspect of it and as soon as soon as you mention welfare rights they seem to go into a meltdown ago alright we'll make a decision when I should have received a letter not basically being told something on the system when the reading off the little script they got in front of them because I obviously as we all know no they do anything not to give you money that's why all the things that you're entitled to are not promoted it's just you told one thing by one person and then told another thing by another person which is wrong so could somebody please help me by answering that question please0

Hi and welcome to the community
There is no payment for lcw unless awarded prior to 2017 to get extra payment you need to be awarded lcwra
On lcw you are not required to look for work just prepare for work by adhering to your work commitments as determined by your work coach
There is also the work allowance with lcw which means you can earn certain amount before any deductions are made to your uc
You don't need to be assessed for the housing element of uc just update your claim with housing costs and provide tenancy agreement
You won't get any letters with uc everything is uploaded onto your journal0 -
You were advised correctly, those that claimed UC after 3rd April 2017 and are found to have LCW there's no extra money. See link. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/universal-credit-changes-to-limited-capability-for-work-payments/changes-to-limited-capability-for-work-payments-in-universal-creditIf you think you should have been found to have LCWRA then you can request the MR but you need to state which descriptor you think applies to you. You can see the descriptors for this here. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/universal-credit-uc/uc-faq/limited-capability-for-work-related-activitygazaskey319 said:one lady told me that for me to apply for certain things like housing benefit I've got to have a medical assessmentIf you want to claim for help with the rent then it is paid through UC known as Housing element. As you know, you do not need a medical assessment. Are you living in social housing or privately renting?

Hi @gazaskey319 welcome to our online community, how are you today?
I'm sorry to hear about the frustrating situation you find yourself in. I hope the replies above help clarify some of what's been going on for you.
Just to let you know, I've amended the title of your thread and moved it to the Universal Credit (UC) category to help others spot it and reply. Please do let us know if you have any further questions and all the best.0
