PIP ASSESSMENT REPORT

Hi everyone.. I had my telephone assessment last Tuesday and I received my report today, yes I know people tell you not to but, I did because I wanted to know what had been said.. so, I just want to know, on the first page she’s stated that I don’t go out anywhere alone without my partner, even to places I know.. then on the page where it says can make & follow a journey … she’s marked it down that I can follow the route of a familiar journey unaided….. so is this just me or is this a massive contradiction? In fact she’s marked A on every single descriptor so I know i need to prepare for a mandatory reconsideration because I doubt the decision maker is going to turn on the health assessor. If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance

    Hi @fayet27 :)

I'm sorry to hear that you feel there are contradictions in your report. This is unfortunately reasonably common.

If it were me, I'd wait to receive the decision letter to see what it says. You can then look into submitting an MR if needed. I'd maybe try to take your mind off of it for now but, if you'd find it helpful, you could always look to see if there are ways you could strengthen your evidence in preparation for an MR.

Hi @Tori_Scope thanks for your reply.

Yeah I’ve read about the horror stories of pip reports! It doesn’t make me look stupid though to be fair, because why say it about me (the truth) but then change your mind at the end of the report, it’s on her, not me. I’ve started preparing for a MR already, it’s not the first time I’ve had to go through this process, just the last time, it wasn’t for pip.
It’s a real shame that you have to prove yourself for a benefit, but I suppose they have to!

    Thanks again @t@Tori_Scope x

    No problem @fayet27 :)

It's worth remembering that posts online tend to be skewed more towards negative experiences. Not everyone has a bad experience!
