Hi some advice please l had my assessment today and was asked if l use a mobile phone l do as l was speaking to the assessor on it was asked what l use if for l said phone calls and texts but l didn't add that it's in need to keep in contact with my family. I suffer with anxiety and read this will go against me as it means l can communicate on my own but l need someone with me to go out. How can they hold that against you and award no points if l am talking to the assessor on a mobile phone?

Being able to use a mobile phone isn't part of any of the PIP descriptors and nothing to do with communicating because that's face to face. You've done the assessment so all you can do is wait for the decision but it could be in the new year now as a decision can take up to 12 weeks once the assessment report is returned.Try and concentrate on something else while you wait, though i know that's difficult.0

You are welcome @stephan41621536. It is the very least you deserve.
I can hear you worry about everything like this. Would anything, in particular, help to reduce the worry and make things feel more manageable for you at the moment?
It sounds like a relief that it is over. Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything we can do to support you.
We are all here for you and listening to you. You don't have to face this, or anything else, alone if you don't want to.
Take care for now and we will look forward to, hopefully, hearing from you again soon0 -
