Hi morning all,
This morning I got a text from pip saying they have received my report from the assessor. I’ve seen online you can request to see the report before the decision is made by DWP.

Please can someone tell me how to request a copy of this?
Have a beautiful day
Edit: my assessment was only two days ago

Hi and welcome to the community
You need to contact the pip helpline to request the report
Bear in mind it isn't the decision only a recommendation and can sometimes cause more stress and anxiety1 -
@janer1967 thank you for your reply, I will call them today and try to access the report. Am I legally entitled to it? As I’ve heard people get told they can’t receive a copy of it until the decision has been made0

Please let me know how you get on. I contacted them to ask for my report 2.5 weeks after assessment. However, they said I could not receive my report until a decision 🙄. I said this is different to online, but lady said that's the rule.
It made me feel anxious that I'm going to be unsuccessful for my PIP claim1 -

It made me feel anxious that I'm going to be unsuccessful for my PIP claimThat person you spoke to from the call centre was incorrect. Sometimes when you ring they will refuse to send it out to you. If this happens you can ring back to speak to someone else who will likely to agree to send it.It has nothing to do with the possibilty of being unsuccessful because the person you spoke to wouldn't even know that until the decision is made.Do be aware though that requesting the report can cause more needless anxiety, even if the report is good, it can still cause more anxiety that you may already be experiencing.1 -

It sounds frustrating that you did not manage to get through @ep2001. Good luck when you try calling them again on Monday.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything to support you. We are all here for you and listening to you.
Take care for now and we will look forward to, hopefully, hearing from you again soon0 -
I'm pretty sure I previously received my report before a decision from DWP, that was for ESA. There is a lot of conflicting information out there.
'Getting a copy of your assessment report - You can only request a copy once DWP writes to you with their decision. To ask for your copy you should contact DWP on 0800 121 4433 or textphone 0800 121 4493. We’re not able to provide a copy of the report on the day of your face-to-face consultation'.

I have contacted them today, initially had no luck getting through, tried again and roughly forty minutes later I got through to someone. Seemed nice enough and has sent a copy to me I should expect it in 7-10 days. But with delays with Royal Mail it could take longer. No issues with getting myself a copy.Did however explain that this was not the final decision and is only a recommendation, I explained I did understand that. Very persistent it’s not the final decision.I found it helped to state that you have been advised by a professional eg benefit worker to request this.I hope this helps and do let me know if you hear anything regarding your outcome1 -

Can I ask once you receive your award letter do you also get your report? Or do I need to request this separately? Thank you0

Even if you want to challenge the decision you don't need the report. Concentrate on making clear why you believe you are entitled and you can challenge any incorrect statements in the decision letter itself.0
