applied for pip 13th september then got a text on 5th october to confirm they got the form back i never actually had a assesment but my partner had a phone call from them to disscuss my condidtions so maybe that was the assesment without me (maybe) then 9th november got a text to say they have the written report of the assessment then on the 24th november text to say "we have not made a decision yet" rang them on the 1st december to request a copy of the assessment becasue of the waiting time just want to know what was said as stated before i personally didnt have to answer the phone or go anywhere but when i requested a copy then lady confirmed a decision still hasnt been made which im glad to hear due to not knowing if they have or have not so hopefully not much longer to hear something

Royal Mail have been striking and will continue to throughout December- there’s a huge backlog of letters and parcels and all services are severely delayed. Just letting you know for your assessment report. A decision should be made within 12 weeks for your PIP.0

yeah bad timing to be waiting while that is going on but i hate waiting to hear anything like most people just gotta keep occupied during the wait haha0
-
It sounds really difficult to have to wait @AcExKS. Does anything, in particular, usually help you when you have to wait?
Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything to support you. We are all here for you and listening to you.
Take care for now and we will look forward to, hopefully, hearing from you again soon0 -
luckily i am easily distracted at times due to my adhd so most of the time it felt like its flown by but missed a call from pip this morning so calling them back now0
-
phone call turned out to be to say i have been awarded so the wait is finally over0

That's great news @AcExKS I'm so pleased to hear it! I expect that's quite a relief for you, how are you feeling?0
-
Yeah it is a massive relief feeling much better and less anxious now it's all over with0

Only had one issue to be honest on the paper based assessment they marked 0 points for everything and tried to claim there wasn't evidence to diagnose my medical problems but seems the decision maker completely ignored the what was written on the assessment0
-
As the decision maker looks at everything you've sent as a whole, and not just the assessment, I'm pleased they were able to come to the decision they have. I'm glad you're less anxious now too0
