LCWRA - is it awarded for a set time?

Hi everyone

As above really, are people usually told that they are awarded LCWRA for a set time (as they are with PIP?) I'm curious because I've read a few people's experiences on another social media platform that some claimants were told a time frame - for example: 3yrs. 
I've never heard of it to be fair, and I just assumed they call you in whenever they wish..

(One of my daughter's was awarded PIP for 10yrs but we were not told how long for LCWRA)

    LCWRA is different to PIP and there's no end date to it. It continues until a new decision says otherwise. It's on ongoing award. They don't usually give timescales on decision letters but they will give you a guide if you ask them when the referral date it. However, this is just a guide. At the moment reviews are still suspended so it's unlikely there will be a review anytime soon.

    That's interesting, do you know if the reviews are usually another form to fill in or a face to face assessment? (It's good to know for future reference) 

    I read in the news that some staff at the DWP are striking for two weeks from the 19th Dec' (more delays for claimants!) but then there's nothing new there I suppose..

    Reviews are exactly the same procedure as the first time.

    it’s very rare for DWP staff to strike so it isn’t true to say there’s nothing new there.
    Many DWP staff are also claimants themselves.

    Of course, I should have clarified that I meant there's "nothing new" in the delays for claimants.
    I completely understand the reasons for striking.
