Is this a review of any existing claim or a new claim?

Hi @poppy123456 it's a new claim as I've never claimed pip before

Then it will depend on the backlogs in your area. There’s really no timescales. Some are waiting several months and other seem to have an assessment quite quickly.
All you can do now is wait but it’s likely to be sometime in the new year.

@L_Volunteer there ain’t much we can do really is just wait hopefully Santa will bring her the news she’s been waiting for 👍 if not she’s happy enough to just wait and see what happens trying not to worry so much about it as she’s got enough going on in her life atm

Come on Santa! We'll continue to ask very nicely, won't we @jody1984

It sounds really positive that she's trying not to worry so much about it. However, I recognise not worrying is easier said than done.

Is there anything that might help make the worry manageable? Particularly with the other things she has gone in her life at the moment  <3

I made my first time claim February this year and hurd back from them asking me to have a telephone assessment in April. After this it took until May to hear back with a decision. Unfortunately it was not in my favour and again after another few months I lost my maditory reconsideration so I stuck to my guns and went for a tribunal. I won at the beginning of this month. So the whole process took 11 months but hopefully you don't have to deal with there automatic no system 🤦‍♂️ what I would say is give it a little bit longer than you expect as many workers for DWP have gone on strike from the 19th until Christmas and Royal mail have too so its a bit of a gridlock at the moment 🤷‍♂️ good luck and speed 😀
