Anything up to 12 weeks. LCWRA is part of UC so if you have access to a journal once the decision is made the letter will be uploaded onto your journal.

There's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4th month.
Your waiting period will be Aug/Sept, Sept/Oct, Oct/Nov, LCWRA starts from AP 6th Nov to 5th Dec and first payment would be 12 Dec. Up to now they would owe you 1 months LCWRA element.
Any money owed will be paid separately to your usual monthly money and can take a few weeks to pay what they owe you.

You are welcome @anna12589. It is the very least you deserve. I can hear how confusing it all is for you at the moment and how you are experiencing a difficult time.

Wishing you the best of luck with it. In the meantime, is there anything that might help reduce your anxiety?

We are all here for you and listening to you if you would like to share more with us. Please don't hesitate to let us know how it goes and if you need any further support in the meantime.

Take care for now and we will look forward to, hopefully, hearing from you again soon  :)

There’s no extra money if found to have LCW. You will only receive extra money if found to have LCWRA.

Have you taken a look at the descriptors for LCWRA to see if any apply? You can see them here https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/universal-credit-uc/uc-faq/limited-capability-for-work-related-activity

You missed the part where it says that doesn’t apply to claims that started after 3rd April 2017. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/universal_credit_work_capability_assessment
As I advised you will only receive extra money if found to have LCWRA.

What date did you first report your health condition? It’s this that counts and not when you first claimed UC. I suspect you reported your health condition after 3rd April 2017.

Then as I advised you’re not entitled to extra money for LCW.

Hi all just a little update. My doctor has diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. I have put in a appeal for lcwra, as i got lcw for my depression and anxiety. Do i stand a better chance now for getting the extra money from lcwra.. tia 😊

LCWRA seems to be on how you are affected, rather than your diagnosis @anna12589. However, I am wishing you the best of luck with this.

Please feel free to let us know how this goes and if there's anything we can do to support you. We are all here for you and listening to you  :)

Anyone can apply for PIP but whether you’re entitled will depend on how your conditions affect you against the PIP descriptors. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/

PIP isn’t means tested so doesn’t have any negative impact on UC.
