Update they called to see if I would be able to handle a lump sum of money, is this good or bad? I’m kind of getting excited as I think it’s positive, but don’t want to get myself to excited0

Sounds positive. Can I ask how long your process was?nlov16 said:Update they called to see if I would be able to handle a lump sum of money, is this good or bad? I’m kind of getting excited as I think it’s positive, but don’t want to get myself to excited0 -
If they will be paying a large amount (I don’t know what counts as large) they ring to give you the option to receive it in instalments if you think you can’t manage a single payment.nlov16 said:Update they called to see if I would be able to handle a lump sum of money, is this good or bad? They wouldn’t ask unless they are going to pay something.1 -
@disabledmom , I sent off my paper work on 11/10/2022, got a telephone assessment on the 02/12/2022 still haven’t got a decision just had that recent phone call today, it hasn’t been that long compared to others wait time so I’m very lucky on that1

Thank you for sharing your experience with us @nlov16. I am sure your experience will be invaluable for anyone experiencing anything similar.
How frustrating that you still haven't got a decision. Though, I can hear how you feel lucky that it hasn't been that long compared to others

Oh wow. This sounds quick compared to others I’ve seen on here. Did they send a text to you telling you they have received your report?nlov16 said:@disabledmom , I sent off my paper work on 11/10/2022, got a telephone assessment on the 02/12/2022 still haven’t got a decision just had that recent phone call today, it hasn’t been that long compared to others wait time so I’m very lucky on that

@Hannah_Scope thank you , relived but still anxious to no what I’ve been awarded, do you know how long it would take for the money to come into my bank?0
-
@nlov16 Yeah I can understand that, hopefully the paperwork comes quickly and you'll have an answer. The paperwork will tell you your dates for when it goes into your bank account.0
