Thank you steve51. Not been good all week but had a hospital appointment with pain clinic today and they have told me I have scarring from my operations and they are going to do an operation to try and clear some of the scarring. This is the first time I have had a dr that has told me he can/will help me!! I’m so happy!!! ☺️?

Hi, I too have chronic pain, it's ****. I've just learned about the Spoon thing on here in a way to describe your pain days /energy /streggt resources. I'm finding it easy to say to friends now and family, I've run out of spoons please leave a message and call back tommorow lol. Having an invisible disablement is a challenge because most folk don't believe you. I am looking into a disabled ID card companies so I can shove something into idiots faces when they tut at me sitting in the disabled seats on the bus, when coworkers and customers comment 'I'm sitting down on the job' etc...so just a warning lol as well as battling your disability you have pleabs to deal with to just because you don't look ill. Well, that's my experience.

I get no help from the disability. I had PIP but they stopped it as they said I wasn’t ‘bad’ enough!!
Anyone know where I can get help on benefits? the doctor said he would write me a supporting letter.
@Circe you are right people always make judgements my son has autistism and the amount of people who say ‘he’s naughty’. ?

I could not get through yesterday for ages, mine has been delayed because the hopeless local Jobcentre never sent of my ID I took in so I'm trying to complain but couldn't get them to answer the bl phone so I'm now delayed another month waiting for the forms let alone the length of time it takes processing it all. They purposely make it difficult I believe in order to deter claiming.

@Circe I think you might be right. I’m still waiting for a 48hr call back from last Thursday!! They told me that they are ‘a bit behind’ I was a nurse and I wonder how they’d feel if I came to their bed and said ‘sorry we are a bit behind, so we can’t see you until next week!! ‘ ?

I've had to post of my ID but it's now come back to me and I am waiting on the forms now tbey(DWP) has allowed me to apply for them finally. So the process is at last starting. I'm not optimistic really but you have to try  I've also had my new Access ID card, I'm glad I now have something to show folk when they get in my face. I've yet to look T the other benefits it gives me bur I recommend it as it's something visual to Confirm you have certain needs. Quick and easy process too.
