Well my day is not going as planned. My son picked me up went and voted then we went coffee at a garden center. Now having a pub lunch.

Yes it has been a nice day out this was at the garden center.
I rewarded myself for voting by popping into the local bakers and getting myself a vegan sausage roll and a maple and pecan danish. I actually find their vegan sausage rolls tastier than their meat ones. They use a home-made nut-mushroom mixture that's actually really tasty.

I like lots of vegan foods but I don't understand shops trying to promote them as substitutes? If someone has a desire for meat then just have meat; if the vegan foods are nice, which many are, then why the need to use meat euphemisms? Just say what they are and let them sell themselves on their own merits 🤔
Marketing a product as a substitute is like saying it's second best, which is the opposite of marketing and kind of discredits what may be, in isolation, a perfectly good product

I'm getting more and more into eating more vegan/vegetarian foods as I'm cutting my meat intake down. I've got to say some things I prefer and are better than the meat versions. I'm also a lover of mushrooms and anything mushroom related so love to replace mushrooms in dishes rather than meat.

Mary Berry is a good cook to look at recipes from, she puts mushrooms in lots of her recipes

Yes the ducks say different lol. They do sell duck feed but only in another area to be fed

I voted and then my Mr son took us out for lunch to celebrate his dad's one year sober. It was lovely of him and we really enjoyed it.
Do you reckon it's the hurricane in the Carribean that is causing the strong winds? I think they call it the tail end.

Hi everyone, how are you all doing today? 😊
Hope everyone managed to have a reasonable night sleep. I'm afraid I didn't I was up every hour from 2am and gave up at 6. It was mainly also because I didn't want to ask for help and wake someone up in the night because then everyone would be up, I feel like a burden and a problem to my family sometimes, especially if I need them in the night. 😴😐️
