Hi @WhatThe , it's all because my son is different from my other half and he just sees him as a nuisance. No one is perfect. Neither is my other half but sometimes he thinks he is . I'm trying to break things down little by little. I am grateful for you chatting with me . Your a real gem ๐.

Of course his own son is more like him so that's different..
You're a blended family and I have no experience of that. Little by little sounds exactly right ๐ you have support here in the meantime ๐

Yes he has a son of his own from a previous marriage. The sun shines out of that one apparently lol ๐. My son is not my other half's. Looking down on others is a no no in my eyes @WhatThe , i suppose it would be boring if we were all the same but the funny thing is @WhatThe nearly every person that comes on the TV is a rubbish person in my other half's eyes . I do feel rather embarrassed talking about this but I am very grateful ๐. You are a real gem ๐ someone who I look up too . Im sorry about this but I am very grateful. Thank you ๐.

I recognise that behaviour and those attitudes in family members past and present ๐๏ธ

I can't thank you enough @WhatThe , I'm sorry you have come across people similar. Thank you ๐

The mother-and-son relationship is different.
My mum was particularly protective of my brother which I didn't like or understand growing up (but do now). Tight as adults. I had to accept it but didn't like it.
Your son needs to be allowed to visit you without any tension or drama. That tension can permeate brick walls and TV noise!

Ref funny one followed by serious one, here's the funny one..
๐ me when you popped into a 'debate' to ask "is it me?" ๐

Sorry to hear how things were for you @WhatThe . I do wonder sometimes what makes people be like they are . I agree I am not going to push him away. Going to have a bit of time out with my puzzle book I think. Thank you again for all your support you are a diamond ๐. Thank you.

Sorry to hear how you was in the know of someone like that @Nightcity. Some people aren't nice at all . Least here there are lots of nice people. I'm going to try and do my puzzle book for a little while. Phone needs to go on charge lol ๐. Chat soon. Take care

@Strawberry1 God that's really awful, sorry to be opinionative but that's completely out of line. How dare he speak that way ever to your son! You're obviously incredibly patient and understanding, it's amazing how you can do that but also sounds emotionally draining.
I have no right to say anything about you and your partner but you deserve respect. โค
Sending hugs- โค

I hope I've not been a burden here talking about stuff . I don't want to be a burden or cause any upset. I don't want to be any bother to the Moderaters either .

I must admit one of my faults is over sharing but I also know it's not good to bottle things up . If I've caused any upset I apologise unreservedly.

The support here on the forum is out of this world ๐.
