Bucket list for retirement

My health has deteriorated in the last 5 years - so that is it for work - I await my state pension in 5 years !

Time travelling with mindfulness

One of the practices they taught was before eating, we were to consider the history of what laid before us in the present moment. For example, the history of the rice…

My grass never grows, my garden is like a giant swamp, would clover work well instead? Has anyone…

🎆 Remember, Remember, The 5th of November 🎆
The Gunpowder Plot On this day in 1605 a group of Catholic conspirators were poised to blow up parliament. World Vegan Day - 1st November 2025🍉🍒
Yesterday was World Vegan Day so I thought I would talk a little bit about my own journey with veganism. I’ve been vegan since January 1st, 2018, though it all started as a bit of a whim. I decided to try Veganuary after making an offhand comment about how I thought I could do it. My partner at the time told me I’d never…

It's Bat Appreciation Month!
October is often called "Spooky season" by those on the internet, so it makes sense that one of natures creatures that is often linked to spookiness gets a month of their own. The beloved and often misunderstood bat. There are eighteen species of bat living in the UK (which is nearly a quarter of native mammal species) and…
