Without looking it up, do you know what it is and have you ever played? Clue: It was apparently once played widely in pubs across England’s South Yorkshire

laughing at inappropriate times
Does anyone else do this?? I have my whole life. I remember being in assemblies as a kid and they're be on serious topics and I'd get the giggles, or on school trips to sad places and stuff and it's gotten worse as I've aged 😅 Anyone else?? To clarify, I don't find the actual event or whatever funny, I think it's the…

Having a bit of a panic!!!! I got back from a short walk about an hour ago and been sat comfy eating snacks on the sofa and on here since then. I've been feeling a draft and aware that it's much colder than usual so got up to go find another top and my front door is wide open?!? I always close and lock it behind me as I'm…

A poem called cloudy skies
A poem called cloudy skies It means that it is dry, and cloudy skies. There is no surprise in those cloudy skies, as we look out of our windows it leaves us feeling motivated to go and do things we need to do. This is how our foe those cloudy skies make us feel. But we deal with whatever comes our way, and that's all I…

Would you want to live on another planet?
I was having this conversation with my housemate this morning and thought it would be interesting to see what you all think! If you had the option to live in space or on another planet, would you go? I'm becoming a bit of an earth-child in my old age, and I think I'd firmly want to stay here even if there was another…

I love...
Inspired by Biblioklept's discussion about things we don't like, I thought we could share what we love too! I love getting cosy under a big blanket with a cup of green tea and some biscuits. I also love learning about unusual topics, such as bread clips and bus stops!

Depressing news
Occasionally I load Microsoft Edge instead of my normal browser and the loading page is just a reel of bad news, does anyone else get fed up with it? For example I loaded it just now and these are the leading articles: Why Generation Alpha are being raised as Content, not Children Doctor’s warning as … Cancer: 15 foods to…

A surprising fact about me is...
I had a pet tern called Terry! My mum worked for the RSPCA and we had a myriad of animals come and stay with us. It was a very fun time and felt like I was living in a zoo sometimes. However, it did trigger my fear of birds as we housed a parrot for a few days and it absolutely hated me 😰 Tell us yours!

How do you remember the Fruit of the Loom logo?
I totally remember the one on the left with the cornucopia, but it turns out it's a false memory that a lot of people have and FOTL logo has always been the one on the right without the cornucopia. Until recently I had never heard of or seen a cornucopia, so why has my brain always associated the FOTL logo with one? I…

My local cinema have been showing David Lynch films over the weekend and one of my friends is a big fan of his and so we went along to watch Mulholland Drive. Things that are criminal offences in UK
I like number 9….. 1. It’s Illegal to Handle Salmon Suspiciously Under the Salmon Act 1986, it’s a criminal offence to handle salmon “in suspicious circumstances.” This law was introduced to tackle illegal salmon fishing and black-market sales — but its ambiguous wording has made it a favourite example of Britain’s odd…

Anyone tried walking groups?
There's a women-only walking group launcing in my area in a few weeks time and I'm really considering going to it, at the moment only the organiser and 1 other person have signed up and if it's that small I'm wondering if I can manage it, but probably not. The set off point is almost directly outside my house and you can…

I don't like......
Crumbs in the butter! Living alone I don't have to worry about it but I was watching a recipe video just now and they opened their butter and there were toast or bread crumbs all in it 🤢 I know really it's a minor thing but it irritates me 😆 What mild annoyances or things do you not like??
