LWC TO LWCRA
so I’m moving from LWC hopefully to LWCRA. I haven’t had to provide sick notes since 2019 and I asked my work coach after explaining my conditions and she agreed I should be reassessed. I had the assessment for ended early as I was told I’ve already max points for LWCRA, job centre said sounds good and I should get back…

Back pay after moving from LCW to LCWRA
Hi I have been on LCW for over a year while claiming UC, I was reporting all my health conditions on my journal and was told that I needed to complete another form as I may be entitled to LCWRA because of my conditions. I completed the form last May 2025 but I waited until February 2026 for my assessment and after a weeks…

UC OVERPAYMENT OF ESA EVERY MONTH
For the last 4 months, my husband's contributions based ESA, which is paid fortnightly, has not been removed for the UC calculations and every month I have to wait for the amended statement in order to be able to repay the £600 or so. Each month, my local council is then triggered into amending our council tax and sending…

Savings over 6K and paying off UC overpayment.
Hi, my UC is now being reduced as I have savings over 6k. I have an outstanding UC overpayment of several thousands. I feel I should clear some of that with my savings. I'm just concerned that that will be deemed as disposing of savings to avoid the reduction of ongoing UC claim. Wondering if paying a couple of thousand…

Losing transitional payment.
Hi everyone.. My first post. Has anyone else had their transition taken off completely because they had to apply for a brand new rent element payment as that is what has happened to me. I know my overall uc is now more than what it was but I'm still £237 out of pocket as I see it. I receive lcwra and pip and just seem to…

Hi, Around May last year I had a UC review where I was asked to submit photo id and 4 months of bank statements. I am now 7 months later going through another view but being asked for 4 months bank statements, but a tenancy agreement and recent utility bill. DO these things get asked on standard reviews, or is this an…

Council says I receive far more UC than I do – ESA confusion, care charges
I’m really confused and hoping someone can help me understand what’s going on, because the figures just don’t make sense. My council insists that I receive around £244 per week in Universal Credit. In reality, my actual UC payment is £451 per month. I have sent them my Universal Credit breakdown statements to prove this,…

UNIVERSAL CREDIT SUBSTANTIAL RISK REQUIREMENT FOR LCWRA
I remember reading somewhere that the Government were looking on tightening up the Substantial Risk requirements in order to qualify for the LCWRA/support group. I'm not sure if these were in the proposals that were shelved in the Welfare Reform attempt earlier this year or if they are still planning on this. Does anyone…

5k lump sum from private pension
Hello everyone, Can I just ask if this rule still applies about taking a small lump sum from a pension pot. 2 years ago I was told that taking a small lump sum wouldnt affect U.C providing it doesn't take the total savings over the 6K limit, and also I was using it to pay of a debt which UC allow. The money has gone into…

Hi, I'm Bomber252525! Will my split UC payments be paid on my regular day?
HHello... I recently switched to fortnightly payments of my U.C. 2 weeks ago I received my new 50% amount of U.C, meaning my next payment should be due tomorrow, exactly 2 weeks after my last payment. Now, I've been told that I must wait until my usual date of payment which would have been the 15th of every month. I've…
