No back pay for LCWRA?

hi just wondering if someone can help me please I put my first sick note in on the 20/01/2023 and got reawarded on the 18th April I get paid my normal UC every 30th but they said I only get the lwcra in May and am
not due any back pay is that correct

Your waiting period is Jan to April… LCWRA starts from assessment period 24th April to 23rd May and first payment will be 30th May.No LCWRA element is owed because it’s not paid at all during the waiting period.Please also be aware that members here post freely in their own spare time. For this reason it may not always be possible to have a reply straight away.0
