As a beginner, I did a lot of research, and I want to have a tank.

But I still hesitate about whether I should have a FOWLR or a reef tank.

    Interesting question, we don't get a lot of people asking for fish keeping advice here, but luckily I kept marine and freshwater tanks for many years! What sort of filter/skimmer are you using in the tank and what is your water changing regime like?
