Hello,
I am the same you know, an old geezer who gets PIP, had it for a long time. I received a letter from the DWP dated 10/7 this year only got it late last week so guess they are delivering by hand! (not serious)
Any way the letter starts:
Dear DibblyDobbly,
We have changed how long your Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is awarded for. This means your PIP award is now for an ongoing period and has no end date.
We will review how much help you need 10 years after your pip was last awarded PIP was last awarded.
Why have we done this?
We have changed how often we will review PIP awards for claimants who have reached State Pension age (Old Geezer!)Then theres the usual four pages of Blah, Blah, Blah.
Hope this helps, if you need anything further just let me know, happy to help.
DD
