CB Esa question

Are people being moved from contribution based esa to new style esa?
If so how does it affect the payment we have from the dwp for money they owed us when my husband was underpaid esa after changing from incapacity benefit? We were told this wouldn't be counted as savings for the duration of the claim but does that protection stop if he's moved onto new style esa?
I'm really confused 😪

Hi
No we aren't being moved to universal credit but there is going to be more information about benefits on 7th October when Rachel Reeves gets questioned in the commons.
