No it wouldn't affect your PIP.

Why are you considering ending your CB ESA?

I have only had my reassessment for pip 6 weeks ago my mental health is very bad and I can’t cope with another assessment my partner has a brain injury and my daughter looks after both of us but we have quite a lot in savings and I can’t handle another assessment to determine my fitness for work so I would rather just not have it at all

    Very sorry to hear that.

    Your contribution based ESA

has no end date so unless they contact you for a review it will continue as normal and you don't need to end it and lose that income.

Please try not to worry about it.

Hi. Just to let you know. Your contribution based ESA cannot be taken away. Are you in the support group. Because it’s contribution based try not to worry. But if you are in the support group which would mean you don’t have to look for work.
But if you suddenly end your ESA then it will be questioned.
    Hope this helps x

I'm not sure how often you get reassessed when on CB ESA, but i've been on it for over 3 years now and not had to be reassessed yet.

I'm thinking because I'm also on PIP they see that and leave me alone? Who knows.

I was reassessed last year after having been left alone by them for 13 years and I remained in the support group.

I'm on IR Esa. I understand Contributing esa you get if you work. My Contributing esa lasted a year and then I was on on income related esa. During that time I was doing part-time work under permitted work which was for 5 years. I finished because of my health. Am I entitled to Contribuion esa if I worked instead of migration to UC

Your IR esa will convert into UC.

For a new claim, current entitlement to New Style ESA relies on sufficient NI Contributions made through work in the last two years.

If your CB ESA changed to IR ESA after a year, were you in the WRAG?

Have you later been moved to the Support Group and are there now?

So currently your claim is 100% IR ESA.

If you are moved to the Support Group, your ESA will revert to CB based with an IR top up.
