Hi all,

Heard today that I will be receiving PIP - will have to wait for the full details and first payment. Will be nice if it’s backdated and I get a bit of a starter bonus!

I have a range of health challenges including arthritis and probable Parkinson’s

It’s all been a lot to get used to especially in the last year and last six months with increasing mobility challenges as well as significant fatigue and other things.

Applications for PIP and blue badge haven’t been too bad though. I got a nice, sympathetic assessor. Possibly helps that I have what they may see as solid evidence for arthritis by way of x-rays as well as ultrasound of gallbladder showing gallstones. Confirmed today that I also have early cataracts which will need attention one day. I’ve got it all going on but think that’s a common situation with PD.

Like many people I’m going to try to stay as positive as I can (hence my username)

Glad to see some Spring sunshine today. Was my daughter’s birthday yesterday which reminds me that April is one of the best months. Love the daffodils and Spring blossom.

Have a partner and two kids in their twenties. Just turned sixty and feel like it’s going to be a new chapter of just keeping on as best I can and kind of pottering about. Connecting with others makes all the difference doesn’t it?
