    Hey there @Syrupie and welcome.

    I'm afraid I don't understand the question?

Sorry. That’s because autocorrect changed it and I didn’t notice!

I’m looking for support. I have cerebral palsy. My son doesn’t.

It’s increasingly frustrating to me that children have CP and adults…. They just get forgotten about!

Haha, ok that makes a lot more sense, thanks @Syrupie 😆

Sorry it's so frustrating for you, I understand often the focus will be on the children. We have the very fab @SaraC_Scope @Lucy_Scope and @Richard_Scope who are veritable encyclopedias when it comes to all things CP, so hopefully they'll be able to offer some suggestions and support. 😊

    Hi @Syrupie

Welcome to the community. I'm Sara and one of the CP Specialists at Scope.

Our team are here to support those living with cerebral palsy and caring for someone with the condition.

We run the CP Network and host monthly Zoom meetings on the second Wednesday of each month. Being part of the CP Network gives you access to a variety of resources, support and community discussions. I've included the link for more information and you are welcome to join. CP Network You can also contact our team if you have any questions.

There is a great Facebook group called Cerebral Palsy Adult Advice This group is a space to ask questions about cerebral palsy and connect with others.

    I hope this information helps.

thanks Sara! Am I right in thinking that I saw you have a book out soon? I recall reading about it and thinking, “I’ll go talk to that lady….”
life is very busy at the moment but if I have chance to attend a zoom session again, I will. I enjoyed them in the past.

    Hi @Syrupie

Unfortunately it isn't me releasing a book. However a lady I recently interviewed, Samantha Maxwell, has published two books about her lived experience with cerebral palsy. She's due to release a new book in September. I've included the link to her interview here.
