Hi,
Me and my Dad both care for my Mum. My Dad has just stopped receiving Carers Allowance payments as he has reached pension age but he is still registered with the Carers Allowance as my Mums carer.
I receive UC, am I able to claim for Carers Element for looking after my Mum or not because my Dad is claiming carers allowance for her?
Thank you

I believe because your Dad will still have what's known as underlying entitlement to Carers Allowance, this will prevent you from claiming Carers Element as two people cannot receive carers benefits for caring for the same person.
You might want to check with a trained benefits advisor
